Over 100 years ago Robert Baden-Powell founded Scouting as a values-based Movement. Although times have changed, these values are still important to us and you can read more about how we interpret them today on the UK Scout website.
The Promise that all new Cubs are required to make when they join embodies the values of our Movement:
I promise that I will do my best
To do my duty to God and to the Queen
To help other people
And to keep the Cub Scout Law.
Cub Scout Law
Cub Scouts always do their best
Think of others before themselves
And do a good turn every day.
The Pack prayer is said at the end of each meeting and on other special occasions:
Help us O Lord
To serve you day by day
To enjoy our work
And to enjoy our play
The travel safely home to rest
Happy that we have tried
To do our best
